The difference between Government and Private schools: |
| There is not much difference in terms of educational systems and teaching quality. Government schools are funded by the state government. Australian local students receive free tuition and although international students pay fees they are much lower than the private schools. Only $9000 - $13000. There are two types of Private schools - one targeting local, high income families, where tuition is very expensive and entry requirements are high; the other is the International private schools. Because of private investment these school have excellent facilities and educational options; they are also more familiar with the needs of international students, which is why they have become the main choice for international students. These schools also prepare students for the key universities. |

In recent years, parents have become more familiar with overseas study in Australia; their thinking has become more diversified and their knowledge of different areas has increased. Students and parents have very high expectations for quality, costs, and environment choices. Public schools, controlled by the Australian Education Department are their ideal choice. |
