| The TAFE system was established and has been largely developed by the Australian Government over the past 30 years and has become the most advanced vocational education system in the world. It is a competency-based and job oriented vocational and training system based on lifelong educational concepts. The system is directly linked with workplace skills and provides highly trained technical personnel to meet industry demands. |

Cooperative models for joint vocational programs
- A joint three year secondary certificate program and a parallel three year English program. This course is in coordinated with The Australian TAFE certificate program and designed with training targets in mind to meet industry needs.
- A 3 year joint diploma program. Year 1 focuses on intensive English, while Years 2 and 3 focus on the joint diploma program units. Teaching is student-centred to create good employment prospects on successful completion.
- A 5 year joint diploma program to assist students to establish a solid English foundation, together with strong technical skills.
- A 1+2 program module. An English and Chinese foundation program is taken in a Chinese college for the first year followed by a 2 year diploma concentrating on skills demanded in the Australian workplace. Graduates have the opportunity to apply for skilled migrant residency to help fill the shortage of skilled labor in Australia
